Trinity County Court House is located in Groveton on
Hwy 94. On November 2, 1872 the Trinity County Court
house suffered the fate of many of the state’s early wooden
government buildings, it burned down. Fortunately, the county clerk
at the time had taken many of the court records home to update,
saving part of the county’s history. On October 20, 1882 the
county seat was officially located in Groveton. It is one of
many location within the county that have historical marker.
The court house was originally located in Trinity.
